CEED stands for ‘Centre for Employment and Enterprise Development’ and aims to improve the economic well being of those currently disadvantaged in the labour market and in business, in particular those from minority ethnic groups.

Birth Centre Bristol (BCB) www.birthcentrebristol.org.uk
BCB is working to get a birth centre set up in Easton. They aim to set up a homely, local unit where women who don’t need to be in hospital can be looked after by midwives. The birth centre will be part of the NHS.

Bristol Neighbourhood Planning Network (NPN) www.bristolnpn.net/index.htm
Bristol NPN is a voluntary, self-help network of neighbourhood based, resident-led groups within Bristol who are or want to be involved in the planning of their area either through the production of a local plan and/or making comments upon planning applications.The aim of the Network is to encourage the exchange of information, experience and skills that enable local neighbourhood groups and the wider community to be more effectively involved in influencing planning decisions that are made about the development of the city. When a number of members wish it, the Network can also collect and represent opinion on major issues.
